Narayana Sūkta.01
सहस्र शीर्षं देवं विश्वाक्षं विश्वशंभुवम्। विश्वै नारायणं देवं अक्षरं परमं पदम्॥
sahasra śīrṣaṁ dēvaṁ viśvākṣaṁ viśvaśaṁbhuvam। viśvai nārāyaṇaṁ dēvaṁ akṣaraṁ paramaṁ padam॥
[sahasra = thousand; śīrṣaṁ = headed; dēvaṁ = God personality; viśvākṣaṁ = having eye everywhere; viśvaśaṁbhuvam = the one who brings happiness to the universe; viśvai = by the universe; nārāyaṇaṁ = the dwelling place of all beings; dēvaṁ = that deity; akṣaraṁ = is imperishable; paramaṁ = supreme; padam = abode;]
He is the deity with a thousand heads; He has eyes everywhere; He brings happiness to the universe; He is the dwelling place of all beings in the universe; He is imperishable and supreme abode of all living beings, called Nārāyana.
