Narayana Sūkta.10
तिर्यगूर्ध्वमधश्शायी रश्मयः तस्य सन्तता। सन्तापयति स्वं देहमापादतलमास्तकः। तस्य मध्ये वह्निशिखा अणीयोर्ध्वा व्यवस्थिताः॥
tiryagūrdhvamadhaśśāyī raśmayaḥ tasya santatā। santāpayati svaṁ dēhamāpādatalamāstakaḥ। tasya madhyē vahniśikhā aṇīyōrdhvā vyavasthitāḥ॥
[tiryagūrdhvamadhaśśāyī = horizontally, vertically, lying; raśmayaḥ = radiance; tasya = His; santatā = continuously;। santāpayati = warms; svaṁ = its own; dēhamāpādatalamāstakaḥ = the body, from the soles of the feet to the crown of the head; tasya = in its; madhyē = centre; vahniśikhā = flames of fire; aṇīyōrdhvā = small, upwards; vyavasthitāḥ = is well stationed;]
Staying there, continually spreading his radiance horizontally and vertically, He warms the whole body from the soles of the feet to the crown of the head. At its centre, in its minute form, is the flame of fire, going upward, that is well stationed.
