Vaisesika Sūtra 2.2.25

गुणस्य सतोऽपवर्गः कर्मभिः साधर्म्यम् ॥२५॥

guṇasya sato'pavargaḥ karmabhiḥ sādharmyam ॥25॥

[गुणस्य (guṇasya): Of the quality; सतः (sataḥ): Of the existent or real; अपवर्गः (apavargaḥ): Liberation or release; कर्मभिः (karmabhiḥ): By actions; साधर्म्यम् (sādharmyam): Similarity of dharma, or inherent nature;]

Quality to come into existence and release (of the sound produced by the word), is similar to the inherent nature of movement (karma).
