Vaisesika Sūtra 6.1.16

विशिष्टे आत्मत्याग इति ॥१६॥

viśiṣṭē ātmatyāga iti ॥16॥

[विशिष्टे (viśiṣṭe) - in the superior / special; आत्म-त्यागः (ātma-tyāgaḥ) - relinquishment of self; इति (iti) - thus;]

Among the superior in behaviour, self-interest is relinquished.

॥इति प्रथम आह्निकः॥

[इति (iti) - thus; प्रथम-आह्निकः (prathama-āhnikah) - first section;]
