Vaisesika Sūtra 7.2.09

अन्यतरकर्मजः उभयकर्मजः संयोगजश्च संयोगः ॥९॥

anyatarakarmajaḥ ubhayakarmajaḥ saṃyogajaś ca saṃyogaḥ ॥9॥

[अन्यतर (anyatara) - either of the two; कर्म (karma) - action; जः (jaḥ) - born of; उभय (ubhaya) - both; कर्म (karma) - action; जः (jaḥ) - born of; संयोग (saṃyoga) - combination; जः (jaḥ) - born of; च (ca) - and; संयोगः (saṃyogaḥ) - combination;]

Combination (saṃyogaḥ) is born of either of the two actions or born of both actions or is born of combination as well.
