Vaisesika Sūtra 7.2.12

कर्मभिः कर्माणि गुणैश्च गुणः अणुत्वमहत्त्वाभ्यामिति ॥१२॥

karmabhiḥ karmāṇi guṇaiś ca guṇaḥ aṇutva-mahattvābhyām iti ॥12॥

[कर्मभिः (karmabhiḥ) - by actions; कर्माणि (karmāṇi) - actions; गुणैः च (guṇaiś ca) - and by qualities; गुणः (guṇaḥ) - quality; अणुत्व-महत्त्वाभ्याम् (aṇutva-mahattvābhyām) - by minuteness and greatness; इति (iti) - thus;]

Actions are by actions, qualities by qualities, through minuteness and greatness — thus it is.

ॐ असतो मा सद्गमय। तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय। मृत्योर्माऽमृतं गमय। ॐ शान्ति: शान्ति: शान्ति: ॥ - बृहदारण्यकोपनिषद् 1.3.28
