Vaisesika Sūtra 10.2.05

कारणसमवायात् संयोगः पटस्य ॥५॥

kāraṇa-samavāyāt saṁyogaḥ paṭasya ॥5॥

[कारणसमवायात् (kāraṇa-samavāyāt) - from inherence in the cause; संयोगः (saṁyogaḥ) - conjunction; पटस्य (paṭasya) - of the cloth;]

The cloth is due to conjunction of causes that inheres.
