Yōga Sūtra 1.12
अभ्यासवैराग्याभ्यां तन्निरोधः।
abhyāsavairāgyābhyāṁ tannirōdhaḥ।
[अभ्यास वैराग्याभ्यां तन्निरोधः।
abhyāsa = practice; vairāgyābhyāṁ = and with dispassion; tannirōdhaḥ = its restraint;]
With practice and dispassion one can restrain them (activities).
Two important tools to restrain Chitta (consciousness) from assuming the form of activity are dispassion and practice.
