Yōga Sūtra 2.22
कृतार्थं प्रति नष्टमप्यनष्टं तदन्यसाधारणत्वात्।
kr̥tārthaṁ prati naṣṭamapyanaṣṭaṁ tadanyasādhāraṇatvāt।
[कृतार्थं प्रति नष्टम् अपी अनष्टं तत् अन्य साधारणत्वात्।
kr̥tārthaṁ = purpose of Kaivalya is being fulfilled; prati = even though; naṣṭam = it (ignorance) is lost; apī = although; anaṣṭaṁ = it has not been not lost; tat = that; anya = to others; sādhāraṇatvāt = for average common interest;]
Once the purpose of Kaivalya, i.e. liberation is fulfilled, the ignorance is lost, although it continues to operate in other ordinary common people.
This specific aphorism brings out the difference between Iswara and Jeeva. Hence, traditionally Yōga darshana is always considered as a compliment of Sankhya, and both these darshanas (samāna-shastras) uphold reality of the word and innate difference that exists between Ishwara and Jeeva. Thus they are opposed to advaita doctrine.
