Yōga Sūtra 3.23

सोपक्रमं निरुपक्रमं च कर्म तत्संयमादपरान्तज्ञानमरिष्टेभ्यो वा।

sōpakramaṁ nirupakramaṁ ca karma tatsaṁyamādaparāntajñānamariṣṭēbhyō vā।

[स उपक्रमं निर् उपक्रमं च कर्म तत् संयमात् अपरान्त ज्ञानम् अरिष्टेभ्यो वा।
sa upakramaṁ = its implications; nir upakramaṁ = non-implications; ca = and; karma = the act; tat = that; saṁyamāt = by samyama; aparānta = after death; jñānam = knowledge of; ariṣṭēbhyō = impending outcomes; vā = as well;]

and by samyama on the act, its implications and non-implications one gains knowledge of death, as well as impending outcomes.
