Yōga Sūtra 4.34
पुरुषार्थशून्यानां गुणानां प्रतिप्रसवः कैवल्यं स्वरूपप्रतिष्ठा वा चितिशक्तिरिति।
puruṣārthaśūnyānāṁ guṇānāṁ pratiprasavaḥ kaivalyaṁ svarūpapratiṣṭhā vā citiśaktiriti।
[पुरुषार्थ शून्यानां गुणानां प्रति प्रसवः कैवल्यं स्वरूप प्रतिष्ठा वा चितिशक्तिः इति।
puruṣārtha = the end desirable goal of the soul is achieved; śūnyānāṁ = when devoid; guṇānāṁ = of qualities; prati prasavaḥ = returning to original; kaivalyaṁ = Kaivalya; svarūpa = state of; pratiṣṭhā = established in; vā = that is; citiśaktiḥ = power of Chitta; iti = thus;]
The end desirable goal of the soul is achieved when devoid of qualities, returning to original, one is established in the state of kaivalya. That is the power of Chitta.
॥ इति श्री पातञ्जल-योग-सूत्राणि ॥
Thus, ends Yōga Sūtras of Sage Patānjala.
