Mīmāmsa Sūtra 01.01.21

अनपेक्षत्वात् ॥१-१-२१॥

anapekṣatvāt ॥1-1-21॥

[अन् (an) - not; अपेक्ष (apekṣa) - dependence; त्वात् (tvāt) - because of the state of;]

Because there is no dependence.

(Because there is no dependence of the meaning of sound on others, the word is eternal)
