Mīmāmsa Sūtra 01.01.31

परन्तु श्रुतिसामान्यमात्रम् ॥१-१-३१॥

parantu śrutisāmānyamātram ॥1-1-31॥

[परन्तु (parantu) - but; however; श्रुति (śruti) - Veda; revelation; hearing; सामान्य (sāmānya) - common; general; universal; मात्रम् (mātram) - only; merely;]

(But only a general (or common) Vedic statement.)

However, it is only a general statement of the Veda.

ॐ असतो मा सद्गमय। तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय। मृत्योर्माऽमृतं गमय। ॐ शान्ति: शान्ति: शान्ति: ॥ - बृहदारण्यकोपनिषद् 1.3.28
"Ōm! Lead me from the unreal to the real, from darkness to light, and from death to immortality. Let there be peace, peace, and peace. Ōm!" - Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 1.3.28
