Mīmāmsa Sūtra 01.01.32

कृते वा विनियोगः स्यात् कर्मणः सम्बन्धात् ॥१-१-३२॥

kṛte vā viniyogaḥ syāt karmaṇaḥ sambandhāt ॥1-1-32॥

[कृते (kṛte) - in the accomplished (action); वा (vā) - or; विनियोगः (viniyogaḥ) - application; स्यात् (syāt) - may be; कर्मणः (karmaṇaḥ) - of the action; सम्बन्धात् (sambandhāt) - from connection;]

(In the accomplished (action) or application may be from connection of the action.)

Application may arise either in the accomplished action or from the connection with the action.

॥इति प्रथमः पादः॥

॥iti prathamaḥ pādaḥ॥

[इति (iti) - thus; प्रथमः (prathamaḥ) - first; पादः (pādaḥ) - section;]
