Narayana Sūkta.03

पतिं विश्वस्य आत्मा ईश्वरं शाश्वतं शिवमच्युतम्। नारायणं महाज्ञेयं विश्वात्मानं परायणम्॥

patiṁ viśvasya ātmā īśvaraṁ śāśvataṁ śivamacyutam। nārāyaṇaṁ mahājñēyaṁ viśvātmānaṁ parāyaṇam॥

[patiṁ = The lord; viśvasya = of the universe; ātmā = the essence; īśvaraṁ = The supreme owner; śāśvataṁ = everlasting; śivamacyutam = auspicious, and infalliable; nārāyaṇaṁ = this Narayana; mahājñēyaṁ = is most worthy of being known; viśvātmānaṁ = is the essence of the universe; parāyaṇam = the ultimate refuge;]

He is the lord of the universe; He is the everlasting supreme owner; He is the auspicious and infallible essence. This Nārāyana is most worthy of being known, is the essence of the universe, and is the ultimate refuge.
