Karika 69

पुरुषार्थज्ञानमिदं गुह्यं परमर्षिणा समाख्यातम्। स्थित्युत्पत्तिप्रलयाश्चिन्त्यन्ते यत्र भूतानाम् ॥६९॥

puruṣārthajñānamidaṁ guhyaṁ paramarṣiṇā samākhyātam। sthityutpattipralayāścintyantē yatra bhūtānām ॥69॥

[पुरुषार्थम् ज्ञानम् इदं गुह्यं परम ऋषिणा सम आख्यातम्। स्थिति उत्पत्ति प्रलयः चिन्त्यन्ते यत्र भूतानाम्॥
puruṣārtham = for the sake of attaining the ultimate goal of human life; jñānam idaṁ = this knowledge; guhyaṁ = that is subtle and secret in nature; parama = by great; r̥ṣiṇā = sages; sama ākhyātam = explained in detail; sthiti utpatti pralayaḥ = sustenance, creation and dissolution; cintyantē = are contemplated; yatra = here; bhūtānām = of beings;]

For the sake of attaining the ultimate goal of human life, this subtle and secret knowledge is explained by the great sage. The creation, the sustenance, and the dissolution of beings are contemplated here.
