Vaisesika Sūtra 1.2.4

भावोऽनुवृत्तेरेव हेतुत्वात् सामान्य मेव ॥४॥

bhāvō'nuvr̥ttērēva hētutvāt sāmānya mēva ॥4॥

[भावः अनुवृत्तेः एव हेतुत्वात् सामान्य मेव॥
bhāvaḥ = the existence; anuvr̥ttēḥ = continued; ēva = indeed; hētutvāt = because of the cause; sāmānya = generality; mēva = only;॥]

The existence, being continued, because of the cause, is generality only.

Note: The common continued existence, though depending on the previous existence as a cause, is generality only, as nothing special happens.
