Vaisesika Sūtra 2.1.7

त्रपुसीसलोहरजतसुवर्णानामग्नि संयोगाद् द्रवत्वमद्भिः सामान्यम् ॥७॥

trapusīsalōharajatasuvarṇānāmagni saṁyōgād dravatvamadbhiḥ sāmānyam ॥7॥

[त्रपु सीस लोह रजत सुवर्णानाम् अग्नि संयोगात् द्रवत्वम् अद्भिः सामान्यम्॥
trapu = tin; sīsa = lead; lōha = iron; rajata = silver; suvarṇānām = gold; agni = fire; saṁyōgāt = by union with; dravatvam = liquid-ness; adbhiḥ =by; sāmānyam = generality॥]

The tin, lead, iron, silver, and gold - by union with fire, liquid-ness is formed by generality, i.e. common property.
