Vaisesika Sūtra 2.1.26

परत्र समवायात् प्रत्यक्षत्वाच्च नात्मगुणो न मनोगुणः ॥२६॥

paratra samavāyāt pratyakṣatvācca nātmaguṇo na manoguṇaḥ ॥26॥

[परत्र समवायात् प्रत्यक्षत्वात् च न आत्मगुणो न मनोगुणः॥
paratra = elsewhere; samavāyāt = due to inherent nature; pratyakṣatvāt = because of perceptibility; ca = and; na = not; ātmaguṇo = its own essential qualities; na = not; manoguṇaḥ = qualities of the mind;]

Elsewhere (the effect is) due to its inherent nature being perceptible, and not because of its own essential qualities, nor because of the qualities of the mind.
