Vaisesika Sūtra 2.2.36

संदिग्धाः सति बहुत्वे ॥३६॥

saṁdigdhāḥ sati bahutve ॥36॥

[संदिग्धाः (saṁdigdhāḥ) - doubtful; सति (sati) - when there is; बहुत्वे (bahutve) - multiplicity.]

Doubtful when multiplicity exists.
