Vaisesika Sūtra 4.1.03

कारणभावात् कार्यभावः ॥३॥

kāraṇabhāvāt kāryabhāvaḥ ॥3॥

[कारण-भावात् (kāraṇa-bhāvāt) - due to the existence of the cause; कार्य-भावः (kārya-bhāvaḥ) - existence of the effect;]

The effect exists due to the existence of the cause.
