Vaisesika Sūtra 4.1.04

अनित्य इति विशेषतः प्रतिषेधभावः ॥४॥

anitya iti viśeṣataḥ pratiṣedhabhāvaḥ ॥4॥

[अनित्य (anitya) - temporary; इति (iti) - thus; विशेषतः (viśeṣataḥ) - speciality; प्रतिषेध-भावः (pratiṣedha-bhāvaḥ) - the nature of unbecoming;]

Making the speciality temporary is the nature of unbecoming.
