Vaisesika Sūtra 7.2.06

एकत्वाभावाद् भक्तिस्तु न विद्यते ॥६॥

ekatva-abhāvāt bhaktiḥ tu na vidyate ॥6॥

[एकत्व-अभावात् (ekatva-abhāvāt) - due to absence of unity; भक्तिḥ (bhaktiḥ) - devotion; तु (tu) - however; न विद्यते (na vidyate) - does not exist;]

However, due to absence of unity, devotion does not exist.

ॐ असतो मा सद्गमय। तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय। मृत्योर्माऽमृतं गमय। ॐ शान्ति: शान्ति: शान्ति: ॥ - बृहदारण्यकोपनिषद् 1.3.28
