[स्मृति परिशुद्धौ स्वरूप शून्य एव अर्थ मात्र निर्भासा निर्वितर्का।
smr̥ti = memory / previous imprints; pariśuddhau = when gets purified; svarūpa = the form; śūnya = becomes empty / disappears; ēva = as if; artha = its meaning; mātra = alone; nirbhāsā = begins to shine; nirvitarkā = is (equilibrium state) without need for logic;]
When the previous impressions are purified, the objects knowledge alone is perceived without the support of physical form - it is nirvitarka, equilibrium state without the need for logical debate.
In the second stage of equilibrium state, mind gets the ability to grasp the meaning of the word, without the need to validate with the application of logic. Hence this is called nirvitarka-samādhi, an equilibrium state without the need to apply logic.
