Yōga Sūtra 2.11
ध्यानहेयास्तद्वृत्तयः।
dhyānahēyāstadvr̥ttayaḥ।
[ध्यान हेयः तत् वृत्तयः।
dhyāna = meditation; hēyaḥ = destroys; tat = those; vr̥ttayaḥ = tendencies;]
The meditation destroys such tendencies (causes of obstacles).
Meditation is the prescribed solution that destroys the obstacles in its subtle form, so that they don't turn in to vrittis or activities.
