Yōga Sūtra 3.16

परिणामत्रयसंयमादतीतानागतज्ञानम्।

pariṇāmatrayasaṁyamādatītānāgatajñānam।

[परिणाम त्रय संयमात् अतीत अनागत ज्ञानम्।
pariṇāma = effects; traya = of the three; saṁyamāt = through integration; atīta = past; anāgata = future; jñānam = knowledge comes;]

By the integration (samyama) of three effects (nirodha parināma, samādhi pariṇāmaḥ, ēkāgratā pariṇāmaḥ) one gets knowledge of the past and the future.
