Yōga Sūtra 3.48

ग्रहणस्वरूपास्मितान्वयार्थवत्त्वसंयमादिन्द्रियजयः।

grahaṇasvarūpāsmitānvayārthavattvasaṁyamādindriyajayaḥ।

[ग्रहण स्वरूप अस्मित अन्वय अर्थवत्त्व संयमात् इन्द्रिय जयः।
grahaṇa = power of cognition; svarūpa = one's true nature; asmita = ego; anvaya = the coming together; arthavattva = purpose behind; saṁyamāt = integration of; indriya = senses; jayaḥ = victory over;]

By the samyama on the purpose of coming together of - power of cognition, one's true nature, and ego, one gains victory over senses.
