Yōga Sūtra 4.18

सदा ज्ञाताश्चित्तवृत्तयस्तत्प्रभोः पुरुषस्यापरिणामित्वात्।

sadā jñātāścittavr̥ttayastatprabhōḥ puruṣasyāpariṇāmitvāt।

[सदा ज्ञाताः चित्त वृत्तयः तत् प्रभोः पुरुषस्य अपरिणाम इत्वात्।
sadā = always; jñātāḥ = knows; citta = of chitta; vr̥ttayaḥ = tendencies / activities; tat = being its; prabhōḥ = master; puruṣasya = the soul / the purusha; apariṇāma itvāt = not being affected by cause;]

The Purusha always knows the activities of the Chitta, being its master, and not being affected by its cause.

ॐ असतो मा सद्गमय। तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय। मृत्योर्माऽमृतं गमय। ॐ शान्ति: शान्ति: शान्ति: ॥ - बृहदारण्यकोपनिषद् 1.3.28
