Yōga Sūtra 4.21

cittāntaradr̥śyē buddhibuddhēratiprasaṅgaḥ smr̥tisaṅkaraśca।

When the Chitta is observed internally, the intellect is used to intellectualize itself, which becomes overdoing because of mixed up memories.
