पतमानानि तान्युर्व्यां कुर्वन्ति विपुलं स्वनम्। मुञ्चन्ति च रसं राजंस्तस्मिन्रजतसंनिभम् ॥६-८-२२॥
patamānāni tānyurvyāṃ kurvanti vipulaṃ svanam। muñcanti ca rasaṃ rājaṃstasminrajatasaṃnibham ॥6-8-22॥
[पतमानानि (patamānāni) - falling; तानि (tāni) - those; उर्व्यां (urvyāṃ) - on the earth; कुर्वन्ति (kurvanti) - make; विपुलं (vipulaṃ) - great; स्वनम् (svanam) - sound; मुञ्चन्ति (muñcanti) - release; च (ca) - and; रसं (rasaṃ) - juice; राजन् (rājan) - O king; तस्मिन् (tasmin) - there; रजतसंनिभम् (rajatasaṃnibham) - silver-like;]
(Falling, those make a great sound on the earth and release juice there, O king, like silver.)

तस्या जम्ब्वाः फलरसो नदी भूत्वा जनाधिप। मेरुं प्रदक्षिणं कृत्वा सम्प्रयात्युत्तरान्कुरून् ॥६-८-२३॥
tasyā jambvāḥ phalaraso nadī bhūtvā janādhipa। meruṃ pradakṣiṇaṃ kṛtvā samprayātyuttarānkurūn ॥6-8-23॥

pibanti tadrasam hṛṣṭā janā nityaṃ janādhipa। tasminphalarase pīte na jarā bādhate ca tān ॥6-8-24॥

(The people, always pleased, drink that juice, O ruler of people. Having drunk that fruit juice, old age does not afflict them.)

तत्र जाम्बूनदं नाम कनकं देवभूषणम्। तरुणादित्यवर्णाश्च जायन्ते तत्र मानवाः ॥६-८-२५॥
tatra jāmbūnadaṁ nāma kanakaṁ devabhūṣaṇam। taruṇādityavarṇāśca jāyante tatra mānavāḥ ॥6-8-25॥

तपस्तु तप्यमानास्ते भवन्ति ह्यूर्ध्वरेतसः। रक्षणार्थं तु भूतानां प्रविशन्ति दिवाकरम् ॥६-८-२९॥
tapastu tapyamānāste bhavanti hyūrdhvaretasaḥ। rakṣaṇārthaṃ tu bhūtānāṃ praviśanti divākaram ॥6-8-29॥
[तपः (tapaḥ) - austerity; तु (tu) - but; तप्यमानाः (tapyamānāḥ) - practicing; ते (te) - they; भवन्ति (bhavanti) - become; हि (hi) - indeed; ऊर्ध्वरेतसः (ūrdhvaretasaḥ) - celibate; रक्षणार्थं (rakṣaṇārthaṃ) - for the protection; तु (tu) - but; भूतानाम् (bhūtānām) - of beings; प्रविशन्ति (praviśanti) - enter; दिवाकरम् (divākaram) - the sun;]
(But those practicing austerity become indeed celibate; for the protection of beings, they enter the sun.)

षष्टिं वर्षसहस्राणि षष्टिमेव शतानि च। आदित्यतापतप्तास्ते विशन्ति शशिमण्डलम् ॥६-८-३१॥
ṣaṣṭiṁ varṣasahasrāṇi ṣaṣṭimeva śatāni ca। ādityatāpataptāste viśanti śaśimaṇḍalam ॥6-8-31॥

(For sixty thousand years and sixty hundred, heated by the sun, they enter the moon sphere.)
