Karika 10
हेतुमदनित्यमव्यापि सक्रियमनेकमाश्रितं लिङ्गम्। सावयवं परतन्त्रं व्यक्तं विपरीतमव्यक्तम् ॥१०॥
hētumadanityamavyāpi sakriyamanēkamāśritaṁ liṅgam। sāvayavaṁ paratantraṁ vyaktaṁ viparītamavyaktam ॥10॥
[हेतु मत् अनित्यम् अव्यापि सक्रियम् अनेकम् आश्रितं लिङ्गम्। सावयवं पर तन्त्रं व्यक्तं विपरीतम् अव्यक्तम्॥
hētu mat = comes into being by the cause; anityam = non eternal/temporary; avyāpi = not pervading / finite; sakriyam = is active; anēkam = many; āśritaṁ = sheltered by; liṅgam = physical body; sāvayavaṁ = made up of; para tantraṁ = outside / another instrument; vyaktaṁ = the manifest; viparītam = the other extreme is; avyaktam = the unmanifest;]
The manifest comes into being by the cause, is temporary, limited in space, active, sheltered by many, with a physical body, and dependent. The other extreme is the un-manifest.
