Vaisesika Sūtra 1.2.17

सदितिलिङ्गाविशेषाद्विशेषलिङ्गाभावाच्चैको भावः ॥१७॥

'Sat', i.e. the reality, i.e. existence, is because of particularity as a distinguishing mark, the same existence is also because of the absence of particularity as a distinguishing mark.

इति द्वि तीय आह् निकः इति प्रथमोऽध्यायः

Thus ends the second chapter of the first section.
