Vaisesika Sūtra 7.1.11

अणु महदिति तस्मिन् विशेषभावात् विशेषाभावाच्च ॥११॥

aṇu mahaditi tasmin viśeṣabhāvāt viśeṣābhāvācca ॥11॥

[अणु (aṇu) - atom; महत् (mahat) - great; इति (iti) - thus; तस्मिन् (tasmin) - in that; विशेषभावात् (viśeṣabhāvāt) - due to the presence of distinction; विशेषाभावात् (viśeṣābhāvāt) - due to the absence of distinction; च (ca) - and;]

The terms 'minute particle' and 'great' — thus are said, due to the presence of distinction or due to the absence of distinction.
