Vaisesika Sūtra 10.2.08

dṛṣṭānāṁ dṛṣṭa-prayojanānāṁ dṛṣṭa-abhāve prayogaḥ abhyudayāya ॥8॥

The application of what is seen and purposeful, in the presence of the unseen, is for prosperity.
