इमे हि ते सूर्यहुताशवर्चसः; समासते वृत्रहणः क्रतुं यथा। नैषां ज्ञानं विद्यते ज्ञातुमद्य; दत्तं येभ्यो न प्रणश्येत्कथञ्चित् ॥१-५०-८॥

(These indeed, they of sun and fire brilliance, assemble as the slayers of Vritra for sacrifice. Their knowledge does not exist to know today; given to whom it would not perish in any way.)

ऋत्विक्समो नास्ति लोकेषु चैव; द्वैपायनेनेति विनिश्चितं मे। एतस्य शिष्या हि क्षितिं चरन्ति; सर्वर्त्विजः कर्मसु स्वेषु दक्षाः ॥१-५०-९॥
ṛtviksamo nāsti lokeṣu caiva; dvaipāyaneneti viniścitaṃ me| etasya śiṣyā hi kṣitiṃ caranti; sarvartvijaḥ karmasu sveṣu dakṣāḥ ॥1-50-9॥

(There is indeed no one equal to a priest in the worlds; this has been ascertained by Dvaipayana and by me. His disciples indeed wander the earth; all priests are skilled in their own duties.)

विभावसुश्चित्रभानुर्महात्मा; हिरण्यरेता विश्वभुक्कृष्णवर्त्मा। प्रदक्षिणावर्तशिखः प्रदीप्तो; हव्यं तवेदं हुतभुग्वष्टि देवः ॥१-५०-१०॥
vibhāvasuś citrabhānur mahātmā; hiraṇyaretā viśvabhuk kṛṣṇavartmā। pradakṣiṇāvartaśikhaḥ pradīpto; havyaṃ tavedam hutabhug vaṣṭi devaḥ ॥1-50-10॥

नेह त्वदन्यो विद्यते जीवलोके; समो नृपः पालयिता प्रजानाम्। धृत्या च ते प्रीतमनाः सदाहं; त्वं वा राजा धर्मराजो यमो वा ॥१-५०-११॥
neha tvadanyo vidyate jīvaloke; samo nṛpaḥ pālayitā prajānām. dhṛtyā ca te prītamanāḥ sadāhaṃ; tvaṃ vā rājā dharmarājo yamo vā ॥1-50-11॥

शक्रः साक्षाद्वज्रपाणिर्यथेह; त्राता लोकेऽस्मिंस्त्वं तथेह प्रजानाम्। मतस्त्वं नः पुरुषेन्द्रेह लोके; न च त्वदन्यो गृहपतिरस्ति यज्ञे ॥१-५०-१२॥

yamo yathā dharmaviniścayajñaḥ; kṛṣṇo yathā sarvaguṇopapannaḥ. śriyāṃ nivāso'si yathā vasūnāṃ; nidhānabhūto'si tathā kratūnām ॥1-50-15॥
[यमः (yamaḥ) - Yama; यथा (yathā) - as; धर्मविनिश्चयज्ञः (dharmaviniścayajñaḥ) - knower of the determination of dharma; कृष्णः (kṛṣṇaḥ) - Krishna; यथा (yathā) - as; सर्वगुणोपपन्नः (sarvaguṇopapannaḥ) - endowed with all virtues; श्रियम् (śriyam) - prosperity; निवासः (nivāsaḥ) - abode; असि (asi) - you are; यथा (yathā) - as; वसूनाम् (vasūnām) - of the Vasus; निधानभूतः (nidhānabhūtaḥ) - repository; असि (asi) - you are; तथा (tathā) - so; क्रतूनाम् (kratūnām) - of the sacrifices;]
(Yama, as the knower of the determination of dharma; Krishna, as endowed with all virtues. You are the abode of prosperity, as of the Vasus; so you are the repository of the sacrifices.)
Just as Yama is known for his judgment of dharma and Krishna is endowed with all virtues, you are the abode of prosperity like the Vasus and the repository of sacrifices.
दम्भोद्भवेनासि समो बलेन; रामो यथा शस्त्रविदस्त्रविच्च। और्वत्रिताभ्यामसि तुल्यतेजा; दुष्प्रेक्षणीयोऽसि भगीरथो वा ॥१-५०-१६॥
dambhodbhavenāsi samo balena; rāmo yathā śastravidastravicca। aurvatritābhyāmasi tulyatejā; duṣprekṣaṇīyo'si bhagīratho vā ॥1-50-16॥
[दम्भोद्भवेन (dambhodbhavena) - by Dambhodbhava; असि (asi) - you are; समः (samaḥ) - equal; बलेन (balena) - in strength; रामः (rāmaḥ) - Rama; यथा (yathā) - as; शस्त्रविदः (śastravidaḥ) - knower of weapons; अस्त्रवित् (astravit) - knower of missiles; च (ca) - and; और्वत्रिताभ्याम् (aurvatritābhyām) - to Aurva and Trita; असि (asi) - you are; तुल्यतेजाः (tulyatejāḥ) - equal in splendor; दुष्प्रेक्षणीयः (duṣprekṣaṇīyaḥ) - difficult to look at; असि (asi) - you are; भगीरथः (bhagīrathaḥ) - Bhagiratha; वा (vā) - or;]
(By Dambhodbhava you are equal in strength; as Rama is a knower of weapons and missiles. To Aurva and Trita you are equal in splendor; difficult to look at you are Bhagiratha or.)
You are as strong as Dambhodbhava; as skilled in weaponry as Rama. You possess the splendor of Aurva and Trita, and are as formidable as Bhagiratha.

evaṃ stutāḥ sarva eva prasannā; rājā sadasyā ṛtvijo havyavāhaḥ. teṣāṃ dṛṣṭvā bhāvitānīṅgitāni; provāca rājā janamejayo'tha ॥1-50-17॥
[एवं (evaṃ) - thus; स्तुताः (stutāḥ) - praised; सर्व (sarva) - all; एव (eva) - indeed; प्रसन्ना (prasannā) - pleased; राजा (rājā) - king; सदस्या (sadasyā) - members; ऋत्विजः (ṛtvijaḥ) - priests; हव्यवाहः (havyavāhaḥ) - fire; तेषाम् (teṣām) - their; दृष्ट्वा (dṛṣṭvā) - seeing; भावितानि (bhāvitāni) - intentions; इङ्गितानि (iṅgitāni) - gestures; प्रोवाच (provāca) - spoke; राजा (rājā) - king; जनमेजयः (janamejayaḥ) - Janamejaya; अथ (atha) - then;]
(Thus praised, all indeed were pleased; the king, the members, the priests, and the fire. Seeing their intentions and gestures, then King Janamejaya spoke.)
