एवमुक्तस्तु विमनास्तिर्यग्दृष्टिरधोमुखः । संहत्य च भ्रुवोर्मध्यं न किञ्चिद्व्याजहार ह ॥५-१३७-१॥
evamuktastu vimanāstiryagdṛṣṭiradhomukhaḥ । saṃhatya ca bhruvormadhyaṃ na kiñcidvyājahāra ha ॥5-137-1॥
[एवम् (evam) - thus; उक्तः (uktaḥ) - spoken; तु (tu) - but; विमनाः (vimanāḥ) - dejected; तिर्यक्-दृष्टिः (tiryak-dṛṣṭiḥ) - side-glancing; अधोमुखः (adhomukhaḥ) - head down; संहत्य (saṃhatya) - joining; च (ca) - and; भ्रुवोः (bhruvoḥ) - of the eyebrows; मध्यम् (madhyam) - middle; न (na) - not; किञ्चित् (kiñcit) - anything; व्याजहार (vyājahāra) - uttered; ह (ha) - indeed;]
(Thus spoken, but dejected, with side-glancing eyes and head down, joining the middle of the eyebrows, he did not utter anything indeed.)
Having been thus addressed, he was dejected, glanced sideways, and with his head down, joining his eyebrows, he did not say anything at all.
तं वै विमनसं दृष्ट्वा सम्प्रेक्ष्यान्योन्यमन्तिकात् । पुनरेवोत्तरं वाक्यमुक्तवन्तौ नरर्षभौ ॥५-१३७-२॥

(The betrayer of friends, evil-minded, atheist, then dishonest and deceitful does not obtain respect among the good, like a fool arrived in sacrifice.)

(There is my strength, thus indeed suddenly you wish to cross like the Ganges current with crocodiles in the hot season.)

वास एव यथा हि त्वं प्रावृण्वानोऽद्य मन्यसे । स्रजं त्यक्तामिव प्राप्य लोभाद्यौधिष्ठिरीं श्रियम् ॥५-१३७-१२॥

(But you, having abandoned happiness, kingdom, friends, and wealth, having made conflict with the Pandavas, will obtain a great calamity.)
