विसृज्य सर्वान्नृपतीन्विराटप्रमुखांस्तदा । पाण्डवा भ्रातरः पञ्च भानावस्तङ्गते सति ॥५-१४५-३॥

मम तात पिता राजञ्शन्तनुर्लोकविश्रुतः । तस्याहमेक एवासं पुत्रः पुत्रवतां वरः ॥५-१४५-१६॥

न चोच्छेदं कुलं यायाद्विस्तीर्येत कथं यशः । तस्याहमीप्सितं बुद्ध्वा कालीं मातरमावहम् ॥५-१४५-१८॥
na cocchedaṃ kulaṃ yāyādvistīryeta kathaṃ yaśaḥ । tasyāhamīpsitaṃ buddhvā kālīṃ mātaramāvaham ॥5-145-18॥

śrotavyaṁ yadi vṛddhānāṁ mātiśaṅkīrvaco mama । nāśayiṣyasi mā sarvamātmānaṁ pṛthivīṁ tathā ॥5-145-40॥
[श्रोतव्यम् (śrotavyam) - to be heard; यदि (yadi) - if; वृद्धानाम् (vṛddhānām) - of the elders; मा (mā) - not; अतिशङ्कीः (atiśaṅkīḥ) - doubtful; वचः (vacaḥ) - words; मम (mama) - my; नाशयिष्यसि (nāśayiṣyasi) - you will destroy; मा (mā) - not; सर्वम् (sarvam) - all; आत्मानम् (ātmānam) - yourself; पृथिवीम् (pṛthivīm) - earth; तथा (tathā) - also;]
(If the words of the elders are to be heard, do not doubt my words. You will not destroy yourself and the earth also.)
If you listen to the words of the elders and do not doubt my words, you will not destroy yourself and the earth as well.
