(Whoever shows me today the great soul on the white horse, to him I would give the desired boon which he desires in his mind.)

स चेत्तदभिमन्येत तस्मै दद्यामहं पुनः। शकटं रत्नसम्पूर्णं यो मे ब्रूयाद्धनञ्जयम् ॥८-२७-३॥

हेमभाण्डपरिच्छन्नान्सुमृष्टमणिकुण्डलान्। सुदान्तानपि चैवाहं दद्यामष्टशतान्परान् ॥८-२७-७॥
hemabhāṇḍaparicchannānsumṛṣṭamaṇikuṇḍalān। sudāntānapi caivāhaṃ dadyāmaṣṭaśatānparān ॥8-27-7॥

(I would give a white, golden chariot, well-adorned, yoked with supreme Kamboja horses, to him who would tell me about Arjuna.)
I would offer a splendid white and golden chariot, beautifully adorned and harnessed with the finest Kamboja horses, to anyone who could inform me about Arjuna.
अन्यं तस्मै वरं दद्यां कुञ्जराणां शतानि षट्। काञ्चनैर्विविधैर्भाण्डैराच्छन्नान्हेममालिनः ॥ उत्पन्नानपरान्तेषु विनीतान्हस्तिशिक्षकैः ॥८-२७-९॥

पुत्रदारान्विहारांश्च यदन्यद्वित्तमस्ति मे। तच्च तस्मै पुनर्दद्यां यद्यत्स मनसेच्छति ॥८-२७-११॥
putradārānvihārāṃśca yadanyadvittamasti me। tacca tasmai punardadyāṃ yadyatsa manasecchati ॥8-27-11॥
[पुत्र (putra) - sons; दारान् (dārān) - wives; विहारान् (vihārān) - pleasures; च (ca) - and; यत् (yat) - whatever; अन्यत् (anyat) - else; वित्तम् (vittam) - wealth; अस्ति (asti) - is; मे (me) - my; तत् (tat) - that; च (ca) - and; तस्मै (tasmai) - to him; पुनः (punaḥ) - again; दद्यां (dadyāṃ) - I would give; यत् (yat) - whatever; यत् (yat) - that; मनस (manasa) - in mind; इच्छति (icchati) - desires;]
(Sons, wives, pleasures, and whatever other wealth is mine, that too I would give to him again, whatever he desires in mind.)

हत्वा च सहितौ कृष्णौ तयोर्वित्तानि सर्वशः। तस्मै दद्यामहं यो मे प्रब्रूयात्केशवार्जुनौ ॥८-२७-१२॥

(Having killed Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna together, I would give all their wealth entirely to him who would tell me about Keśava and Arjuna.)
If someone were to inform me about Keśava and Arjuna, I would kill them both and give all their wealth to that person.
एता वाचः सुबहुशः कर्ण उच्चारयन्युधि। दध्मौ सागरसम्भूतं सुस्वनं शङ्खमुत्तमम् ॥८-२७-१३॥
etā vācaḥ subahuśaḥ karṇa uccārayanyudhi। dadhmau sāgarasambhūtaṃ susvanaṃ śaṅkhamuttamam ॥8-27-13॥

(These words, many times, Karna uttering in battle, blew the ocean-born, melodious, excellent conch.)
Karna, repeatedly uttering these words in battle, blew his excellent conch, which was melodious and born of the ocean.
ता वाचः सूतपुत्रस्य तथा युक्ता निशम्य तु। दुर्योधनो महाराज प्रहृष्टः सानुगोऽभवत् ॥८-२७-१४॥
tā vācaḥ sūtaputrasya tathā yuktā niśamya tu। duryodhano mahārāja prahṛṣṭaḥ sānugo'bhavat ॥8-27-14॥

(Having heard those appropriate words of the son of a charioteer, King Duryodhana became delighted with his followers.)

bālyādiva tvaṃ tyajasi vasu vaiśravaṇo yathā। ayatnenaiva rādheya draṣṭāsyadya dhanañjayam ॥8-27-19॥
[बाल्यात् (bālyāt) - from childhood; इव (iva) - like; त्वम् (tvam) - you; त्यजसि (tyajasi) - abandon; वसु (vasu) - wealth; वैश्रवणः (vaiśravaṇaḥ) - Kubera; यथा (yathā) - as; अयत्नेन (ayatnena) - effortlessly; एव (eva) - indeed; राधेय (rādheya) - O son of Radha; द्रष्टासि (draṣṭāsi) - you will see; अद्य (adya) - today; धनञ्जयम् (dhanañjayam) - Dhananjaya (Arjuna);]
(From childhood, you abandon wealth like Kubera. Effortlessly indeed, O son of Radha, you will see Dhananjaya today.)
"From your early years, you have been abandoning wealth just like Kubera does. Today, without any effort, O son of Radha, you shall see Dhananjaya (Arjuna)."
परासृजसि मिथ्या किं किं च त्वं बहु मूढवत्। अपात्रदाने ये दोषास्तान्मोहान्नावबुध्यसे ॥८-२७-२०॥
parāsṛjasi mithyā kiṃ kiṃ ca tvaṃ bahu mūḍhavat। apātradāne ye doṣāstānmohānnāvabudhyase ॥8-27-20॥
[परासृजसि (parāsṛjasi) - you release; मिथ्या (mithyā) - falsely; किं (kiṃ) - what; किं (kiṃ) - what; च (ca) - and; त्वं (tvaṃ) - you; बहु (bahu) - much; मूढवत् (mūḍhavat) - like a fool; अपात्रदाने (apātradāne) - in giving to the unworthy; ये (ye) - which; दोषाः (doṣāḥ) - faults; तान् (tān) - those; मोहात् (mohāt) - out of delusion; न (na) - not; अवबुध्यसे (avabudhyase) - you understand;]
(You release falsely, what, what, and you, much like a fool. In giving to the unworthy, which faults, those out of delusion, you do not understand.)
You act foolishly by giving to the unworthy, failing to recognize the faults due to your delusion.
यत्प्रवेदयसे वित्तं बहुत्वेन खलु त्वया। शक्यं बहुविधैर्यज्ञैर्यष्टुं सूत यजस्व तैः ॥८-२७-२१॥
yatpravedayase vittaṁ bahutvena khalu tvayā। śakyaṁ bahuvidhairyajñairyāṣṭuṁ sūta yajasva taiḥ ॥8-27-21॥
