(They, surrounded all around by the Pāṇḍavas, the bulls among men, indeed agitate that army like crocodiles (agitate) the ocean.)
The warriors, encircled by the Pāṇḍavas, who are like bulls among men, stirred the army as crocodiles stir the ocean.
पुरोवातेन गङ्गेव क्षोभ्यमाना महानदी। अक्षोभ्यत तदा राजन्पाण्डूनां ध्वजिनी पुनः ॥९-१७-१०॥
purovātena gaṅgeva kṣobhyamānā mahānadī। akṣobhyata tadā rājanpāṇḍūnāṃ dhvajinī punaḥ ॥9-17-10॥

(The great river, like the Ganga, being agitated by the east wind, was then agitated, O king, the army of the Pandavas again.)

प्रस्कन्द्य सेनां महतीं त्यक्तात्मानो महारथाः। वृक्षानिव महावाताः कम्पयन्ति स्म तावकाः ॥९-१७-११॥

(Having broken through the great army, the self-sacrificing great warriors, like great winds, indeed shake the trees, your men.)
The selfless great warriors, having penetrated the vast army, shook your men like mighty winds shake the trees.
बहवश्चुक्रुशुस्तत्र क्व स राजा युधिष्ठिरः। भ्रातरो वास्य ते शूरा दृश्यन्ते नेह केचन ॥९-१७-१२॥
bahavaś cukruśus tatra kva sa rājā yudhiṣṭhiraḥ। bhrātaro vāsya te śūrā dṛśyante neha kecana ॥9-17-12॥
