Vaisesika Sūtras

Vaisesika Sūtra 8.2.06

तथापस्तेजोवायुश्च रसरूपस्पर्शज्ञानेऽविशेषात् ॥६॥

tathāpas tejo vāyuś ca rasa-rūpa-sparśa-jñāne'viśeṣāt ॥6॥

[तथा (tathā) - likewise; आपः (āpaḥ) - water; तेजः (tejaḥ) - fire; वायुः (vāyuḥ) - air; च (ca) - and; रस-रूप-स्पर्श-ज्ञाने (rasa-rūpa-sparśa-jñāne) - in knowledge of taste, form, and touch; अविशेषात् (aviśeṣāt) - due to non-distinction;]

Likewise, water, fire, and air are the basis in knowledge of taste, form, and touch due to non-distinction.

॥इति द्वितीय आह्निकः अष्टमोऽध्यायः॥

॥iti dvitīya āhnikah aṣṭamo'dhyāyaḥ॥

[इति (iti) - thus; द्वितीयः (dvitīyaḥ) - second; आह्निकः (āhnikah) - lesson; अष्टमः (aṣṭamaḥ) - eighth; अध्यायः (adhyāyaḥ) - chapter;]

Thus ends the second lesson of the eighth chapter.
