Vaisesika Sūtra 8.2.06

tathāpas tejo vāyuś ca rasa-rūpa-sparśa-jñāne'viśeṣāt ॥6॥

Likewise, water, fire, and air are the basis of knowledge of taste, form, and touch due to their distinction.

॥iti dvitīya āhnikah aṣṭamo'dhyāyaḥ॥

Thus ends the second lesson of the eighth chapter.
