Yōga Sūtra 1.30
व्याधिस्त्यानसंशयप्रमादालस्याविरतिभ्रान्तिदर्शनालब्धभूमिकत्वानवस्थितत्वानि चित्तविक्षेपास्तेऽन्तरायाः।
vyādhistyānasaṁśayapramādālasyāviratibhrāntidarśanālabdhabhūmikatvānavasthitatvāni cittavikṣēpāstē'ntarāyāḥ।
[व्याधि स्त्यान संशय प्रमाद अलस्य अविरति भ्रान्तिदर्शन अलब्ध भूमिकत्व अनवस्थितत्वानि चित्तविक्षेपः अस्ते अन्तरायाः।
vyādhi = disease; styāna = apathy; saṁśaya = doubt; pramāda = negligence; alasya = idleness; avirati = lack of control; bhrāntidarśana = erroneous perception; alabdha = carelessness; bhūmikatva = desire to take up key role; anavasthitatvāni = the state of not being in existence; cittavikṣēpaḥ = disturbances of consciousness; astē = these manifest as; antarāyāḥ = from interruptions;]
Disturbances of consciousness from interruptions manifest as: disease, apathy, doubt, negligence, idleness, lack of control, erroneous perception, carelessness, desire to take up key role, and the state of not being in existence.
Everything unhealthy whether concerning physical body or mind is manifested through disturbances of consciousness.
