तमहं स्मयन्निव रणे प्रत्यभाषं व्यवस्थितम्। भूमिष्ठं नोत्सहे योद्धुं भवन्तं रथमास्थितः ॥५-१८०-१॥
tamahaṁ smayanniva raṇe pratyabhāṣaṁ vyavasthitam। bhūmiṣṭhaṁ notsahe yoddhuṁ bhavantaṁ rathamāsthitaḥ ॥5-180-1॥

My charioteer, Mātariśvā, who is indeed knowledgeable in the Vedas, will equip me with armor. Well-prepared, I shall fight in the battle alongside them, O joy of the Kurus.
एवं ब्रुवाणो गान्धारे रामो मां सत्यविक्रमः। शरव्रातेन महता सर्वतः पर्यवारयत् ॥५-१८०-५॥

ततोऽपश्यं जामदग्न्यं रथे दिव्ये व्यवस्थितम्। सर्वायुधधरे श्रीमत्यद्भुतोपमदर्शने ॥५-१८०-६॥

आह्वयानः स मां युद्धे मनो हर्षयतीव मे। पुनः पुनरभिक्रोशन्नभियाहीति भार्गवः ॥५-१८०-१०॥

तमादित्यमिवोद्यन्तमनाधृष्यं महाबलम्। क्षत्रियान्तकरं राममेकमेकः समासदम् ॥५-१८०-११॥

evametatkuruśreṣṭha kartavyaṃ bhūtimicchatā। dharmo hyeṣa mahābāho viśiṣṭaiḥ saha yudhyatām ॥5-180-15॥

(Thus, O best of the Kurus, this duty is to be performed by one desiring prosperity. Indeed, O mighty-armed one, this is righteousness, to be fought with the distinguished.)

(I would swear you, if you do not come thus, O lord of men. Fight, you, in battle, prepared, taking courage, O Kaurava.)

(Four horses of mine and the charioteer, O lord of men, are blocked by him, and thus I stand wounded in battle.)

(Repeatedly and I said, O king, overwhelmed by the force of grief: Alas, indeed, this sin has been done by me by the duty of a warrior.)
