 Core: Drona undertakes a successful carnage of Pandava army with the intention of capturing Yudhisthira. The great Pandava warriors Satyajit, Vṛka, Shatanika, Dridhashena, Shikhandin, Uttamaujas, Vasudana, Kshatradeva, Kshatravarman, and Sudakshina succumb to death trying to protect Yudhisthira.
