Pancharatra-Ext and Core: Krishna asks Yudhishthira not to attribute the cause of killings to Ashwatthama as all things happen as per Shiva's divine will.

तमात्तकार्मुकं दृष्ट्वा ब्रह्मचारिणमव्ययम्। विव्यथे पृथिवी देवी पर्वताश्च चकम्पिरे ॥१०-१८-९॥
tamāttakārmukaṃ dṛṣṭvā brahmacāriṇamavyayam। vivyathe pṛthivī devī parvatāśca cakampire ॥10-18-9॥

(The three-eyed one knocked out the arms of Savitṛ, the eyes of Bhaga, and also, angry, the teeth of Pūṣan with the tip of the bow.)

प्राद्रवन्त ततो देवा यज्ञाङ्गानि च सर्वशः। केचित्तत्रैव घूर्णन्तो गतासव इवाभवन् ॥१०-१८-१७॥

(Then the gods ran away in all directions along with the sacrificial implements. Some, right there, reeling, became as if lifeless.)

(He but having scattered all that, Śitikaṇṭha (Śiva), having laughed and having taken up the end of the bow, restrained the gods then.)

(Then, by the speech of the immortals spoken, the bowstring of his bow was cut off. Then, O king, that bow with its string cut suddenly quivered.)

(Then the gods approached the best among gods, the one with the bow. Taking refuge with the sacrifice, the lord granted favor.)

(Then, the pleased Lord cast away his anger into the water. He, having become fire, constantly dries up the water, O Lord.)
Then, the Lord, being pleased, cast away his anger into the water. That anger, having become fire, constantly dries up the water, O Lord.
भगस्य नयने चैव बाहू च सवितुस्तथा। प्रादात्पूष्णश्च दशनान्पुनर्यज्ञं च पाण्डव ॥१०-१८-२२॥
bhagasya nayane caiva bāhū ca savitustathā। prādātpūṣṇaśca daśanānpunaryajñaṃ ca pāṇḍava ॥10-18-22॥

(Of Bhaga, the eyes and indeed the arms, and of Savitṛ also; he gave of Pūṣan the teeth again, and the sacrifice, O Pāṇḍava.)
O Pāṇḍava, the eyes and arms were given from Bhaga, and also from Savitṛ; the teeth from Pūṣan, and again, the sacrifice.
ततः सर्वमिदं स्वस्थं बभूव पुनरेव ह। सर्वाणि च हवींष्यस्य देवा भागमकल्पयन् ॥१०-१८-२३॥
tataḥ sarvam idaṃ svasthaṃ babhūva punar eva ha। sarvāṇi ca havīṃṣyasya devā bhāgam akalpayann ॥10-18-23॥
[ततः (tataḥ) - then; सर्वम् (sarvam) - all; इदं (idaṃ) - this; स्वस्थं (svastham) - well; restored; बभूव (babhūva) - became; पुनः (punar) - again; एव (eva) - indeed; ह (ha) - certainly; सर्वाणि (sarvāṇi) - all; च (ca) - and; हवींष्यस्य (havīṃṣyasya) - of the oblations; देवाः (devāḥ) - the gods; भागम् (bhāgam) - share; अकल्पयन् (akalpayann) - assigned;]
(Then all this became well again indeed. And the gods assigned the share of the oblations.)
Then everything was restored to its proper state again. The gods allotted the shares of the oblations.
तस्मिन्क्रुद्धेऽभवत्सर्वमस्वस्थं भुवनं विभो। प्रसन्ने च पुनः स्वस्थं स प्रसन्नोऽस्य वीर्यवान् ॥१०-१८-२४॥
tasmin kruddhe 'bhavat sarvam asvasthaṃ bhuvanaṃ vibho। prasanne ca punaḥ svasthaṃ sa prasanno 'sya vīryavān॥10-18-24॥
[तस्मिन् (tasmin) - in him; क्रुद्धे (kruddhe) - being angry; अभवत् (abhavat) - became; सर्वम् (sarvam) - all; अस्वस्थम् (asvastham) - disturbed; भुवनम् (bhuvanam) - the world; विभो (vibho) - O Lord; प्रसन्ने (prasanne) - when pleased; च (ca) - and; पुनः (punaḥ) - again; स्वस्थम् (svastham) - at peace; स (sa) - he; प्रसन्नः (prasannaḥ) - pleased; अस्य (asya) - his; वीर्यवान् (vīryavān) - powerful;]
(When he was angry, O Lord, the whole world became disturbed; and when he was pleased again, the world was at peace. He, whose favor brings peace, is powerful.)
When he was angry, O Lord, the entire world was thrown into turmoil; but when he was pleased again, everything returned to peace. He, whose favor restores harmony, is truly powerful.
ततस्ते निहताः सर्वे तव पुत्रा महारथाः। अन्ये च बहवः शूराः पाञ्चालाश्च सहानुगाः ॥१०-१८-२५॥
tataste nihatāḥ sarve tava putrā mahārathāḥ। anye ca bahavaḥ śūrāḥ pāñcālāśca sahānugāḥ ॥10-18-25॥
[ततः (tataḥ) - then; ते (te) - those; निहताः (nihatāḥ) - slain; सर्वे (sarve) - all; तव (tava) - your; पुत्राः (putrāḥ) - sons; महारथाः (mahārathāḥ) - great chariot-warriors; अन्ये (anye) - others; च (ca) - and; बहवः (bahavaḥ) - many; शूराः (śūrāḥ) - heroes; पाञ्चालाः (pāñcālāḥ) - Panchalas; च (ca) - and; सहानुगाः (sahānugāḥ) - with followers;]
(Then those all your sons, the great chariot-warriors, were slain. And many other heroes and the Panchalas with their followers (were slain).)

न तन्मनसि कर्तव्यं न हि तद्द्रौणिना कृतम्। महादेवप्रसादः स कुरु कार्यमनन्तरम् ॥१०-१८-२६॥
na tanmanasi kartavyaṃ na hi taddrauṇinā kṛtam। mahādevaprasādaḥ sa kuru kāryamanantaram ॥10-18-26॥
[न (na) - not; तत् (tat) - that; मनसि (manasi) - in the mind; कर्तव्यं (kartavyam) - should be done; न (na) - not; हि (hi) - indeed; तत् (tat) - that; द्रौणिना (drauṇinā) - by Drona's son; कृतम् (kṛtam) - was done; महादेवप्रसादः (mahādevaprasādaḥ) - by the grace of Mahadeva; सः (saḥ) - he; कुरु (kuru) - do; कार्यं (kāryam) - the task; अनन्तरम् (anantaram) - immediately;]
(Not that in the mind should be done, nor indeed was that done by Drona's son. By the grace of Mahadeva, he, do the task immediately.)
Do not keep that in your mind, for it was not done by Drona's son. By the grace of Mahadeva, do your task at once.
