O ruler of men, the kṣatriyas, oppressed by divine punishment, will slay all the Bhṛgus, cutting them down even from the womb. (13-56-3)
In our lineage, one named Aurva will be born who will increase the family; he will possess great brilliance and will have radiance like fire and the sun. (13-56-4)
He, for the destruction of the three worlds, will generate the fire of anger; he will turn the earth, with its mountains and forests, into ashes. (13-56-5)
However, for some time, he himself will appease that fire by casting it into the mouth of the Vaḍavā in the ocean, O best among sages. (13-56-6)
O sinless one, the exceedingly fortunate son of his, Ṛcīka, the descendant of Bhṛgu, the entire science of archery will directly manifest before him. (13-56-7)
But for the destruction of the kṣatriyas, by a cause joined with destiny, he, having accepted that, will indeed transfer it to his son. (13-56-8)

O greatly radiant one, in your lineage, Gādhi's son Viśvāmitra—though a kṣatriya, possessing the actions of a brāhmaṇa and the power of Bṛhaspati, highly righteous and devoted to great austerity—will be granted. (13-56-12)

But King Kushika, having heard the words of the great-souled sage Cyavana, became delighted, and said these words: "So let it be," said the righteous king at that time, O foremost of the Bharatas. (13-56-15)

O king, just as it was spoken by the sage, so it happened: the birth of Rāma, and of the sage Viśvāmitra as well, indeed. (13-56-20)
