Dhṛtarāṣṭra the king, having observed those who had come, received them as was the custom; and so did the great-minded Vidura. (14-65-6)
At that very place, Kṛṣṇa, the illustrious bull among men, dwelt—honored by the mighty Vidura, and likewise by Yuyutsu. (14-65-7)
O Janamejaya, while the heroes of the Vṛṣṇi clan resided there, then your father Parikṣit, the destroyer of enemy heroes, was born, O king. (14-65-8)
But that king, the great king, afflicted by the Brahmāstra, became a motionless corpse, increasing both joy and sorrow. (14-65-9)
There, the shout of the people who were delighted, like a lion's roar, after spreading in all directions, again ceased. (14-65-10)

O king, behind Draupadī, Subhadrā, and the illustrious one, the women of their kinsmen wailed with compassion. (14-65-13)
Then Kuntī, the royal daughter, having approached Kṛṣṇa at that time, spoke to him, O tiger among kings, with a voice choked with tears. (14-65-14)

O chief of the Yadus, O Keśava, the son born of your sister has been killed by Aśvatthāman. O lord, please bring him back to life. (14-65-16)
This, O descendant of Aiṣīka, O joy of the Yadus, has indeed been promised by you: "O lord, I will revive the one who has died." (14-65-17)
He—the child who was born—has died, O dear one; see him, O best of men. See Uttarā, Subhadrā, Draupadī, and me, O Mādhava (Kṛṣṇa). (14-65-18)
You ought to protect Dharmaputra, Bhima, Phalguna, Nakula, Sahadeva, and all of us, O invincible one. (14-65-19)

In this, the lives of the Pāṇḍavas and myself are dependent; the ancestral offering of Pāṇḍu and of the Dāśārha, and likewise of my father-in-law. (14-65-20)
And, O Janardana, may you bring forth beloved offspring today, even of Abhimanyu who was dear and like yourself, now departed. (14-65-21)
Uttara indeed certainly speaks affectionately, O destroyer of enemies, the words of Abhimanyu, O Kṛṣṇa; because of affection for you, there is no doubt about it. (14-65-22)
Dāśārha (Kṛṣṇa), referring to Arjuna, the husband of Virāṭa’s daughter, once said: “O fortunate one, your son will go to the family of his maternal uncle.” (14-65-23)
He will go to the clan of the Vṛṣṇis and Andhakas, and there he will learn the science of archery, various weapons, and solely the science of policy. (14-65-24)
Thus, out of affection, O father, Saubhadra, the destroyer of enemy heroes, told this; and the unconquerable one also said this without doubt. (14-65-25)
Having bowed to you here, we beg you, O Madhusūdana: for the welfare of this family, please perform the highest auspiciousness. (14-65-26)
After thus speaking to the descendant of Vṛṣṇi, Pṛthā, wide-eyed and sorrowful, raised her arms, and she and the other women fell to the ground in distress. (14-65-27)
And all the women, with tear-filled eyes, said, "O great king, the sister's son of Vāsudeva has died," O lord. (14-65-28)
O Bhārata, when those words were spoken, Janārdana then took up Kuntī who had fallen on the ground and consoled her. (14-65-29)
