tataḥ sa punarāvṛtya hayaḥ kāmacaro balī। āsasāda purīṃ ramyāṃ cedīnāṃ śuktisāhvayām ॥14-84-2॥

शरभेणार्चितस्तत्र शिशुपालात्मजेन सः। युद्धपूर्वेण मानेन पूजया च महाबलः ॥१४-८४-३॥

तं चापि वशमानीय किरीटी पुरुषर्षभः। निषादराज्ञो विषयमेकलव्यस्य जग्मिवान् ॥१४-८४-७॥
taṁ cāpi vaśam ānīya kirīṭī puruṣarṣabhaḥ। niṣādarājño viṣayam ekalavyasya jagmivān ॥14-84-7॥

एकलव्यसुतश्चैनं युद्धेन जगृहे तदा। ततश्चक्रे निषादैः स सङ्ग्रामं रोमहर्षणम् ॥१४-८४-८॥
ekalavyasutash cainaṃ yuddhena jagṛhe tadā. tataś cakre niṣādaiḥ sa saṅgrāmaṃ romaharṣaṇam ॥14-84-8॥

ततस्तमपि कौन्तेयः समरेष्वपराजितः। जिगाय समरे वीरो यज्ञविघ्नार्थमुद्यतम् ॥१४-८४-९॥
tatastamapi kaunteyaḥ samareṣvaparājitaḥ। jigāya samare vīro yajñavighnārthamudyatam ॥14-84-9॥

स तं जित्वा महाराज नैषादिं पाकशासनिः। अर्चितः प्रययौ भूयो दक्षिणं सलिलार्णवम् ॥१४-८४-१०॥
sa taṁ jitvā mahārāja naiṣādiṁ pākaśāsaniḥ। arcitaḥ prayayau bhūyo dakṣiṇaṁ salilārṇavam ॥14-84-10॥

तत्रापि द्रविडैरन्ध्रै रौद्रैर्माहिषकैरपि। तथा कोल्लगिरेयैश्च युद्धमासीत्किरीटिनः ॥१४-८४-११॥
tatrāpi draviḍair andhrai raudrair māhiṣakair api| tathā kollagireyaiś ca yuddham āsīt kirīṭinaḥ ॥14-84-11॥

तुरगस्य वशेनाथ सुराष्ट्रानभितो ययौ। गोकर्णमपि चासाद्य प्रभासमपि जग्मिवान् ॥१४-८४-१२॥
turagasya vaśenātha surāṣṭrānabhito yayau। gokarṇam api cāsādya prabhāsam api jagmivān ॥14-84-12॥

tato dvāravatīṁ ramyāṁ vṛṣṇi-vīrābhirakṣitām। āsasāda hayaḥ śrīmān kururājasya yajñiyaḥ ॥14-84-13॥

Then the illustrious sacrificial horse of the king of Kuru reached the beautiful Dvaravati, which was protected by the heroes of the Vṛṣṇi clan. (14-84-13)
तमुन्मथ्य हयश्रेष्ठं यादवानां कुमारकाः। प्रययुस्तांस्तदा राजन्नुग्रसेनो न्यवारयत् ॥१४-८४-१४॥
tam unmathya hayaśreṣṭhaṃ yādavānāṃ kumārakāḥ। prayayus tāṃs tadā rājan nugraseno nyavārayat ॥14-84-14॥

ततः पुर्या विनिष्क्रम्य वृष्ण्यन्धकपतिस्तदा। सहितो वसुदेवेन मातुलेन किरीटिनः ॥१४-८४-१५॥
tataḥ puryā viniṣkramya vṛṣṇy-andhaka-patis tadā। sahito vasudevena mātulena kirīṭinaḥ ॥14-84-15॥

तौ समेत्य कुरुश्रेष्ठं विधिवत्प्रीतिपूर्वकम्। परया भरतश्रेष्ठं पूजया समवस्थितौ ॥ ततस्ताभ्यामनुज्ञातो ययौ येन हयो गतः ॥१४-८४-१६॥
tau sametya kuruśreṣṭhaṃ vidhivat prītipūrvakam| parayā bharataśreṣṭhaṃ pūjayā samavasthitau ॥ tatastābhyām anujñāto yayau yena hayo gataḥ ॥14-84-16॥

tataḥ sa paścimaṃ deśaṃ samudrasya tadā hayaḥ। krameṇa vyacarat sphītaṃ tataḥ pañcanadaṃ yayau ॥14-84-17॥

tasmād api sa kauravya gāndhāraviṣayaṃ hayaḥ। vicacāra yathākāmaṃ kaunteyānugatastadā ॥14-84-18॥
