सर्वानायुष्मतो भीतान्सन्त्रस्तानिव लक्षये। अयुद्धमनसश्चैव सर्वांश्चैवानवस्थितान् ॥०४-४३-१॥
sarvān āyuṣmato bhītān santrastān iva lakṣaye। ayuddhamanasaś caiva sarvāṃś caivānavasthitān ॥04-43-1॥
[सर्वान् (sarvān) - all (accusative plural); आयुष्मतः (āyuṣmataḥ) - O long-lived one; भीतान् (bhītān) - frightened; सन्त्रस्तानिव (santrastān iva) - as though terrified; लक्षये (lakṣaye) - I observe; अयुद्धमनसः (ayuddhamanasaḥ) - whose minds are not in battle; चैव (ca eva) - and indeed; सर्वान् (sarvān) - all; चैव (ca eva) - and indeed; अनवस्थितान् (anavasthitān) - unsteady;]
(All, O long-lived one, frightened, as though terrified, I observe; whose minds are not in battle and indeed, all and indeed, unsteady.)
O long-lived one, I observe all (these men) as frightened, as though terrified, whose minds are not in battle, and indeed all are unsteady. (04-43-1)
यद्येष राजा मत्स्यानां यदि बीभत्सुरागतः। अहमावारयिष्यामि वेलेव मकरालयम् ॥०४-४३-२॥
yadyeṣa rājā matsyānāṃ yadi bībhtsurāgataḥ। ahamāvārayiṣyāmi veleva makarālayam ॥04-43-2॥
[यदि (yadi) - if; एष (eṣa) - this; राजा (rājā) - king; मत्स्यानाम् (matsyānām) - of the Matsyas; यदि (yadi) - if; बीभत्सुः (bībhtsuḥ) - Bhībhatsu (Arjuna); आगतः (āgataḥ) - has come; अहम् (aham) - I; आवारयिष्यामि (āvārayiṣyāmi) - shall obstruct; वेलेव (veleva) - like a shore; मकरालयम् (makarālayam) - the abode of the makara (crocodile/sea-creature);]
(If this king of the Matsyas, if Bhībhatsu has come, I shall obstruct (him) like a shore (obstructs) the abode of the makara.)
If this king of the Matsyas, if Bhībhatsu has come, I will block him like the shore blocks the abode of makaras. (04-43-2)
मम चापप्रमुक्तानां शराणां नतपर्वणाम्। नावृत्तिर्गच्छतामस्ति सर्पाणामिव सर्पताम् ॥०४-४३-३॥
mama cāpapramuktānāṃ śarāṇāṃ nataparvaṇām। nāvṛttirgacchatāṃasti sarpāṇāmiva sarpatām॥04-43-3॥
[मम (mama) - of me; चापप्रमुक्तानाम् (cāpapramuktānām) - of loosed from the bow; शराणाम् (śarāṇām) - of arrows; नतपर्वणाम् (nataparvaṇām) - with bent joints; न (na) - not; अवृत्तिः (āvṛttiḥ) - turning back; गच्छताम् (gacchatām) - of those going; अस्ति (asti) - there is; सर्पाणाम् (sarpāṇām) - of snakes; इव (iva) - like; सर्पताम् (sarpatām) - of those slithering;]
(Of me, of arrows loosed from the bow with bent joints, for those going there is no turning back, like of snakes slithering.)
My arrows, loosed from the bow with bent joints, do not turn back once released, just like slithering snakes. (04-43-3)
रुक्मपुङ्खाः सुतीक्ष्णाग्रा मुक्ता हस्तवता मया। छादयन्तु शराः पार्थं शलभा इव पादपम् ॥०४-४३-४॥
rukmapuṅkhāḥ sutīkṣṇāgrā muktā hastavatā mayā। chādayantu śarāḥ pārthaṃ śalabhā iva pādapam ॥04-43-4॥
[रुक्मपुङ्खाः (rukmapuṅkhāḥ) - with golden-feathered (shafts); सुतीक्ष्णाग्राः (sutīkṣṇāgrāḥ) - having very sharp tips; मुक्ताः (muktāḥ) - released; हस्तवता (hastavatā) - by me possessing hand; मया (mayā) - by me; छादयन्तु (chādayantu) - let (them) cover; शराः (śarāḥ) - arrows; पार्थम् (pārtham) - Pārtha (Arjuna); शलभाः (śalabhāḥ) - moths; इव (iva) - like; पादपम् (pādapam) - a tree;]
(With golden-feathered, very sharp-tipped arrows released by me possessing hand, let (the) arrows cover Pārtha like moths (cover) a tree.)
Let my golden-feathered, very sharp-pointed arrows, released from my hand, cover Pārtha just as moths cover a tree. (04-43-4)
शराणां पुङ्खसक्तानां मौर्व्याभिहतया दृढम्। श्रूयतां तलयोः शब्दो भेर्योराहतयोरिव ॥०४-४३-५॥
śarāṇāṃ puṅkha-saktānāṃ maurvyābhi-hatayā dṛḍham। śrūyatāṃ talayoḥ śabdo bheryor-āhatayor-iva ॥04-43-5॥
[शराणां (śarāṇāṃ) - of arrows; पुङ्खसक्तानां (puṅkha-saktānāṃ) - with feathers attached; मौर्व्याभिहतया (maurvyābhi-hatayā) - by the string made of fibers, struck; दृढम् (dṛḍham) - firmly; श्रूयतां (śrūyatāṃ) - let be heard; तलयोः (talayoḥ) - of the palms; शब्दः (śabdaḥ) - sound; भेर्योः (bheryoḥ) - of drums; आहतयोः (āhatayoḥ) - when struck; इव (iva) - like;]
(Of arrows with feathers attached, firmly struck by the string made of fibers, let the sound of the palms be heard, like of drums when struck.)
Let the firm sound of the palms, as of drums being struck, be heard from the arrows with feathers attached, struck by the fiber-string. (04-43-5)
समाहितो हि बीभत्सुर्वर्षाण्यष्टौ च पञ्च च। जातस्नेहश्च युद्धस्य मयि सम्प्रहरिष्यति ॥०४-४३-६॥
samāhito hi bībhatsur varṣāṇy aṣṭau ca pañca ca | jātasnehaś ca yuddhasya mayi samprahariṣyati ॥04-43-6॥
[समाहितः (samāhitaḥ) - collected; composed; determined; हि (hi) - indeed; certainly; बीभत्सुः (bībhatsuḥ) - Bībhatsu (Arjuna); वर्षाणि (varṣāṇi) - years; अष्टौ (aṣṭau) - eight; च (ca) - and; पञ्च (pañca) - five; च (ca) - and; जातस्नेहः (jātasnehaḥ) - one whose affection has arisen; च (ca) - and; युद्धस्य (yuddhasya) - of battle; मयि (mayi) - for me; सम्प्रहरिष्यति (samprahariṣyati) - will strike; will attack;]
(Collected indeed Bībhatsu, years eight and five and, one whose affection has arisen and, of battle, for me, will attack.)
Indeed, the composed Arjuna (Bībhatsu), after thirteen years, whose affection has arisen, will attack me in battle. (04-43-6)
पात्रीभूतश्च कौन्तेयो ब्राह्मणो गुणवानिव। शरौघान्प्रतिगृह्णातु मया मुक्तान्सहस्रशः ॥०४-४३-७॥
pātrībhūtaś ca kaunteyo brāhmaṇo guṇavān iva। śaraughān pratigṛhṇātu mayā muktān sahasraśaḥ॥04-43-7॥
[पात्रीभूतः (pātrībhūtaḥ) - become fit recipient; become worthy; become suitable; become a vessel; च (ca) - and; कौन्तेयः (kaunteyaḥ) - son of Kuntī; ब्राह्मणः (brāhmaṇaḥ) - brāhmaṇa; a Brāhmin; a learned man; गुणवान् (guṇavān) - endowed with virtues; possessing qualities; इव (iva) - like; as if; शरौघान् (śaraughān) - hosts of arrows; many arrows; प्रति्गृह्णातु (pratigṛhṇātu) - may receive; मया (mayā) - by me; मुक्तान् (muktān) - released; discharged; सहस्रशः (sahasraśaḥ) - by thousands; in thousands;]
(The son of Kuntī, having become a worthy recipient, and the brāhmaṇa, as if endowed with virtues, may receive hosts of arrows released by me in thousands.)
May the son of Kuntī, who has become a worthy recipient like a virtuous brāhmaṇa, receive hosts of arrows discharged by me in thousands. (04-43-7)
एष चैव महेष्वासस्त्रिषु लोकेषु विश्रुतः। अहं चापि कुरुश्रेष्ठा अर्जुनान्नावरः क्वचित् ॥०४-४३-८॥
eṣa caiva maheṣvāsas triṣu lokeṣu viśrutaḥ। ahaṃ cāpi kuru-śreṣṭha arjunān nāvaraḥ kvacit॥04-43-8॥
[एष (eṣa) - this (man); च (ca) - and; एव (eva) - indeed; महेष्वासः (maheṣvāsaḥ) - mighty-armed; wielder of a great bow; त्रिषु (triṣu) - in the three; लोकेषु (lokeṣu) - worlds; विश्रुतः (viśrutaḥ) - famed; अहं (ahaṃ) - I; च (ca) - and; अपि (api) - also; कुरुश्रेष्ठ (kuru-śreṣṭha) - best of the Kurus; अर्जुनात् (arjunāt) - than Arjuna; न (na) - not; अवरः (avaraḥ) - inferior; क्वचित् (kvacit) - at any time;]
(This indeed mighty-armed (one) in the three worlds famed. I also, O best of Kurus, than Arjuna not inferior at any time.)
This mighty-armed man is indeed renowned in the three worlds. And I too, O best of the Kurus, am never in any way inferior to Arjuna. (04-43-8)
इतश्चेतश्च निर्मुक्तैः काञ्चनैर्गार्ध्रवाजितैः। दृश्यतामद्य वै व्योम खद्योतैरिव संवृतम् ॥०४-४३-९॥
itaś cet aś ca nirmuktaiḥ kāñcanaiḥ gārdhravājitaiḥ। dṛśyatām adya vai vyoma khadyotaiḥ iva saṁvṛtam ॥04-43-9॥
[इतः च (itaḥ ca) - from here and; इतः च (itaś ca) - from there and; निर्मुक्तैः (nirmuktaiḥ) - set free by; काञ्चनैः (kāñcanaiḥ) - golden (objects); गार्ध्रवाजितैः (gārdhravājitaiḥ) - by bird-vehicle-mounted (garuḍa-like) ones; दृश्यताम् (dṛśyatām) - let it be seen; अद्य (adya) - today; वै (vai) - indeed; व्योम (vyoma) - the sky; खद्योतैः (khadyotaiḥ) - by fireflies; इव (iva) - like; संवृतम् (saṁvṛtam) - covered;]
(From here and there, let the sky today indeed appear covered by golden (objects) set free by those mounted on bird-vehicles, like by fireflies.)
Today, let the sky truly be seen covered everywhere by golden objects loosed by bird-mounted ones, just as by fireflies. (04-43-9)
अद्याहमृणमक्षय्यं पुरा वाचा प्रतिश्रुतम्। धार्तराष्ट्रस्य दास्यामि निहत्य समरेऽर्जुनम् ॥०४-४३-१०॥
adyāham ṛṇam akṣayyaṃ purā vācā pratiśrutam। dhārtarāṣṭrasya dāsyāmi nihatya samare'rjunam॥04-43-10॥
[अद्य (adya) - today; अहम् (aham) - I; ऋणम् (ṛṇam) - debt; अक्षय्यम् (akṣayyaṃ) - imperishable; पुरा (purā) - formerly; वाचा (vācā) - by word; प्रतिश्रुतम् (pratiśrutam) - promised; धार्तराष्ट्रस्य (dhārtarāṣṭrasya) - to the son of Dhritarashtra; दास्यामि (dāsyāmi) - I will give; निहत्य (nihatya) - having slain; समरे (samare) - in battle; अर्जुनम् (arjunam) - Arjuna;]
(Today I, the imperishable debt formerly promised by word, to the son of Dhritarashtra, will give, having slain in battle Arjuna.)
Today I will discharge the imperishable debt, formerly promised by word, to the son of Dhritarashtra, by killing Arjuna in battle. (04-43-10)
अन्तरा छिद्यमानानां पुङ्खानां व्यतिशीर्यताम्। शलभानामिवाकाशे प्रचारः सम्प्रदृश्यताम् ॥०४-४३-११॥
antarā chidyamānānāṃ puṅkhānāṃ vyatiśīryatām। śalabhānām iv ākāśe pracāraḥ sampradṛśyatām ॥04-43-11॥
[अन्तरा (antarā) - in between; छिद्यमानानां (chidyamānānāṃ) - of those being cut; पुङ्खानां (puṅkhānāṃ) - of feathered shafts; व्यतिशीर्यताम् (vyatiśīryatām) - as they were scattered; शलभानाम् (śalabhānām) - of grasshoppers; इव (iva) - like; आकाशे (ākāśe) - in the sky; प्रचारः (pracāraḥ) - movement; सम्प्रदृश्यताम् (sampradṛśyatām) - was seen;]
(In between the feathered shafts being cut, as they were scattered, movement like that of grasshoppers in the sky was seen.)
Amidst the feathered shafts as they were being cut and scattered, movement like that of grasshoppers in the sky was seen. (04-43-11)
इन्द्राशनिसमस्पर्शं महेन्द्रसमतेजसम्। अर्दयिष्याम्यहं पार्थमुल्काभिरिव कुञ्जरम् ॥०४-४३-१२॥
indrāśani-samasparśaṃ mahendra-sama-tejasam। ardayiṣyāmyahaṃ pārtham ulkābhiriva kuñjaram॥04-43-12॥
[इन्द्राशनिसमस्पर्शं (indrāśani-samasparśam) - having touch equal to Indra's thunderbolt; महेन्द्रसमतेजसम् (mahendra-sama-tejasam) - having brilliance equal to great Indra; अर्दयिष्यामि (ardayiṣyāmi) - I shall torment; अहं (ahaṃ) - I; पार्थम् (pārtham) - Pārtha; उल्काभिः (ulkābhiḥ) - with meteors; इव (iva) - like; कुञ्जरम् (kuñjaram) - an elephant;]
(Having touch equal to Indra's thunderbolt, having brilliance equal to great Indra, I shall torment Pārtha with meteors like (one torments) an elephant.)
I will assail Pārtha, whose touch is like Indra's thunderbolt and whose brilliance equals great Indra, with meteors as one torments an elephant. (04-43-12)
तमग्निमिव दुर्धर्षमसिशक्तिशरेन्धनम्। पाण्डवाग्निमहं दीप्तं प्रदहन्तमिवाहितान् ॥०४-४३-१३॥
tam agnim iva durdharṣam asi-śakti-śara-indhanam. pāṇḍava-agni-maham dīptam pradahantam iva āhitān ॥04-43-13॥
[तम् (tam) - him; अग्निम् (agnim) - fire; इव (iva) - like; as if; दुर्धर्षम् (durdharṣam) - irresistible; difficult to oppose; असिशक्तिशरेन्धनम् (asi-śakti-śara-indhanam) - having swords, spears, and arrows as fuel; पाण्डव (pāṇḍava) - of the Pāṇḍavas; अग्निम् (agnim) - fire; अहम् (aham) - I; दीप्तम् (dīptam) - blazing; shining; प्रदहन्तम् (pradahantam) - burning; consuming; इव (iva) - like; as if; आहितान् (āhitān) - those who are placed (as fuel); offered;]
(Him, like fire, irresistible, with swords, spears, and arrows as fuel; the Pāṇḍava fire I (see) blazing, consuming as if those who are placed (as fuel).)
I see him as an irresistible fire, with swords, spears, and arrows as its fuel—the blazing Pāṇḍava fire, consuming those offered to it, as it were. (04-43-13)
अश्ववेगपुरोवातो रथौघस्तनयित्नुमान्। शरधारो महामेघः शमयिष्यामि पाण्डवम् ॥०४-४३-१४॥
aśva-vega-puro-vāto ratha-ogha-stanayitnumān| śara-dhāro mahā-meghaḥ śamayiṣyāmi pāṇḍavam ॥04-43-14॥
[अश्ववेगपुरोवातः (aśva-vega-puro-vātaḥ) - like wind in front of horses; रथौघस्तनयित्नुमान् (ratha-ogha-stanayitnumān) - resounding like thunder with the mass of chariots; शरधारः (śara-dhāraḥ) - having a stream of arrows; महामेघः (mahā-meghaḥ) - great cloud; शमयिष्यामि (śamayiṣyāmi) - I will subdue; पाण्डवम् (pāṇḍavam) - the Pāṇḍava;]
(Like the wind before the horses, resounding like thunder with the mass of chariots, possessing a stream of arrows and being a great cloud, I will subdue the Pāṇḍava.)
Like the wind in front of charging horses, thundering with the mass of chariots, a torrent of arrows and a great cloud, I will subdue the Pāṇḍava. (04-43-14)
मत्कार्मुकविनिर्मुक्ताः पार्थमाशीविषोपमाः। शराः समभिसर्पन्तु वल्मीकमिव पन्नगाः ॥०४-४३-१५॥
matkārmuka-vinir-muktāḥ pārtham āśī-viṣa-upamāḥ । śarāḥ sam-abhisarpantu valmīkam iva pannagāḥ ॥04-43-15॥
[मत्कार्मुकविनिर्मुक्ताः (mat-kārmuka-vinir-muktāḥ) - released from my bow; पार्थम् (pārtham) - towards Partha; आशीविषोपमाः (āśī-viṣa-upamāḥ) - resembling poisonous serpents; शराः (śarāḥ) - arrows; समभिसर्पन्तु (sam-abhisarpantu) - let them proceed together; वल्मीकम् (valmīkam) - towards the anthill; इव (iva) - like; पन्नगाः (pannagāḥ) - serpents;]
(Let the arrows released from my bow, resembling poisonous serpents, proceed together towards Partha, like serpents towards an anthill.)
Let the arrows, released from my bow and resembling venomous serpents, rush all together at Partha, just as serpents go toward an anthill. (04-43-15)
जामदग्न्यान्मया ह्यस्त्रं यत्प्राप्तमृषिसत्तमात्। तदुपाश्रित्य वीर्यं च युध्येयमपि वासवम् ॥०४-४३-१६॥
jāmadagnyān mayā hy astraṃ yat prāptam ṛṣisattamāt। tad upāśritya vīryaṃ ca yudhye yam api vāsavam॥04-43-16॥
[जामदग्न्याट् (jāmadagnyāt) - from Jāmadagnya; मया (mayā) - by me; हि (hi) - indeed; अस्त्रं (astraṃ) - weapon; यत् (yat) - which; प्राप्तम् (prāptam) - obtained; ऋषिसत्तमात् (ṛṣisattamāt) - from the best of sages; तत् (tat) - that; उपाश्रित्य (upāśritya) - having resorted to; वीर्यं (vīryam) - strength; च (ca) - and; युध्येयम् (yudhye yam) - I could fight; अपि (api) - even; वासवम् (vāsavam) - Indra;]
(From Jāmadagnya, by me indeed weapon which obtained from the best of sages, that having resorted to strength and I could fight even Indra.)
With the weapon which I obtained from Jāmadagnya, the best of sages, and relying on that power and strength, I could even fight against Indra. (04-43-16)
ध्वजाग्रे वानरस्तिष्ठन्भल्लेन निहतो मया। अद्यैव पततां भूमौ विनदन्भैरवान्रवान् ॥०४-४३-१७॥
dhvajāgre vānaras tiṣṭhan bhallena nihato mayā। adyaiva patatāṃ bhūmau vinadan bhairavān ravān ॥04-43-17॥
[ध्वजाग्रे (dhvajāgre) - on the tip of the flag; वानरः (vānaraḥ) - the monkey; तिष्ठन् (tiṣṭhan) - standing; भल्लेन (bhallena) - by an arrow; निहतः (nihataḥ) - struck down; मया (mayā) - by me; अद्यैव (adyaiva) - today itself; पतताम् (patatām) - let him fall; भूमौ (bhūmau) - on the ground; विनदन् (vinadan) - uttering; भैरवान् (bhairavān) - terrible; रवान् (ravān) - cries;]
(On the tip of the flag, the monkey standing, struck down by an arrow by me, today itself let him fall on the ground uttering terrible cries.)
Let the monkey standing atop the flag, struck down by my arrow, fall to the ground this very day, crying out terrible sounds. (04-43-17)
शत्रोर्मयाभिपन्नानां भूतानां ध्वजवासिनाम्। दिशः प्रतिष्ठमानानामस्तु शब्दो दिवं गतः ॥०४-४३-१८॥
śatrormayābhipannānāṁ bhūtānāṁ dhvajavāsinām। diśaḥ pratiṣṭhamānānāmastu śabdo divaṁ gataḥ ॥04-43-18॥
[शत्रोः (śatroḥ) - of the enemy; मया (mayā) - by me; अभिपन्नानाम् (abhipannānām) - afflicted; भूतानाम् (bhūtānām) - of beings; ध्वजवासिनाम् (dhvajavāsinām) - of those who dwell on the standard; दिशः (diśaḥ) - directions; प्रतिष्ठमानानाम् (pratiṣṭhamānānām) - of those becoming established; अस्तु (astu) - let it be; शब्दः (śabdaḥ) - sound; दिवम् (divam) - heaven; गतः (gataḥ) - has gone;]
(Of the enemy, by me afflicted beings of those who dwell on the standard, in the directions of those becoming established, let sound to heaven has gone.)
The sound of the beings of the enemy whom I have afflicted, living upon the standards, establishing themselves in all directions, has reached the heavens. (04-43-18)
अद्य दुर्योधनस्याहं शल्यं हृदि चिरस्थितम्। समूलमुद्धरिष्यामि बीभत्सुं पातयन्रथात् ॥०४-४३-१९॥
adya duryodhanasyāhaṃ śalyaṃ hṛdi cirasthitam. samūlamuddhariṣyāmi bībhatsuṃ pātayan rathāt ॥04-43-19॥
[अद्य (adya) - today; दुर्योधनस्य (duryodhanasya) - of Duryodhana; अहम् (aham) - I; शल्यं (śalyam) - thorn; हृदि (hṛdi) - in (his) heart; चिरस्थितम् (cirasthitam) - long-established; समूलम् (samūlam) - with root; उद्धरिष्यामि (uddhariṣyāmi) - I will uproot; बीभत्सुम् (bībhatsum) - Bībhatsu (Arjuna); पातयन् (pātayan) - causing to fall; रथात् (rathāt) - from the chariot;]
(Today of Duryodhana I the thorn in (his) heart long-established with root I will uproot, Bībhatsu (Arjuna) causing to fall from the chariot.)
Today, I will uproot with the root the thorn long lodged in Duryodhana's heart, by casting Bībhatsu (Arjuna) down from his chariot. (04-43-19)
हताश्वं विरथं पार्थं पौरुषे पर्यवस्थितम्। निःश्वसन्तं यथा नागमद्य पश्यन्तु कौरवाः ॥०४-४३-२०॥
hatāśvaṃ virathaṃ pārthaṃ pauruṣe paryavasthitam। niḥśvasantaṃ yathā nāgam adya paśyantu kauravāḥ ॥04-43-20॥
[हताश्वम् (hatāśvam) - whose horses are slain; विरथम् (viratham) - chariotless; पार्थम् (pārtham) - Pārtha (Arjuna); पौरुषे (pauruṣe) - in manliness; पर्यवस्थितम् (paryavasthitam) - remaining (situated); निःश्वसन्तम् (niḥśvasantam) - sighing; यथा (yathā) - as; नागम् (nāgam) - an elephant; अद्य (adya) - today; पश्यन्तु (paśyantu) - let them see; कौरवाः (kauravāḥ) - the Kauravas;]
(Let the Kauravas see today Pārtha, whose horses are slain, chariotless, remaining in manliness, sighing, as (one sees) an elephant.)
Let the Kauravas witness today Pārtha (Arjuna), bereft of horses and chariot, yet steadfast in his manliness, sighing deeply like an elephant.
कामं गच्छन्तु कुरवो धनमादाय केवलम्। रथेषु वापि तिष्ठन्तो युद्धं पश्यन्तु मामकम् ॥०४-४३-२१॥
kāmaṃ gacchantu kuravo dhanam-ādāya kevalam। ratheṣu vā api tiṣṭhanto yuddhaṃ paśyantu māmakam॥04-43-21॥
[कामं (kāmaṃ) - as they wish; गच्छन्तु (gacchantu) - let them go; कुरवः (kuravaḥ) - the Kurus; धनम् (dhanam) - the wealth; आदाय (ādāya) - having taken; केवलम् (kevalam) - only; रथेषु (ratheṣu) - on chariots; वा (vā) - or; अपि (api) - even; तिष्ठन्तः (tiṣṭhantaḥ) - standing; युद्धम् (yuddham) - battle; पश्यन्तु (paśyantu) - let them see; मामकम् (māmakam) - mine;]
(As they wish, let the Kurus go, having taken only the wealth; or even standing on chariots, let them see my battle.)
