मोघं तवेदं भुवि नामधेयं; दुर्योधनेतीह कृतं पुरस्तात्। न हीह दुर्योधनता तवास्ति; पलायमानस्य रणं विहाय ॥०४-६०-१८॥
moghaṃ tavedam bhuvi nāmadheyaṃ; duryodhanetīha kṛtaṃ purastāt. na hīha duryodhanatā tavāsti; palāyamānasya raṇaṃ vihāya ॥04-60-18॥
[मोघम् (mogham) - in vain; futile; तव (tava) - your; इदं (idam) - this; भुवि (bhuvi) - on earth; नामधेयम् (nāmadheyam) - name; designation; दुर्योधनः (duryodhanaḥ) - Duryodhana; इति (iti) - thus; ‘Duryodhana’; इह (iha) - here; in this world; कृतम् (kṛtam) - has been made; given; पुरस्तात् (purastāt) - before; previously; न (na) - not; हि (hi) - indeed; इह (iha) - here; दुर्योधनता (duryodhanatā) - quality of being Duryodhana; Duryodhana-ness; तव (tava) - in you; of you; अस्ति (asti) - is; पलायमानस्य (palāyamānasya) - of one fleeing; रणम् (raṇam) - battle; विहाय (vihāya) - abandoning; leaving;]
(Futile is this your name on earth; as 'Duryodhana' it was made here earlier. For indeed here the quality of Duryodhana is not in you—of one fleeing, abandoning battle.)
Your name on earth is in vain; 'Duryodhana' was once given to you. For you do not have the spirit of Duryodhana here, as you are fleeing, having abandoned the battle. (04-60-18)

na te purastād atha pṛṣṭhato vā; paśyāmi duryodhana rakṣitāram. paraiḥ hi yuddhena kuru-pravīra; prāṇān priyān pāṇḍavataḥ adya rakṣa ॥04-60-19॥

(Not for you in front or behind do I see, Duryodhana, a protector. From the enemies indeed, O mighty Kuru, by battle, dear lives from the sons of Pāṇḍu today protect.)
Duryodhana, I do not see any protector for you either in front or behind. O mighty Kuru, today defend your dear life from the Pāṇḍavas in battle against the enemies. (4-60-19)
